GMX, the Geek Media Expo, is a multi-genre pop culture convention in the vein of Comic Con that takes place late October in the Greater Nashville, TN area. GMX is produced by Arts Cubed, an all-volunteer non-profit organization which also produces the Middle TN Anime Convention, Tennessee's largest and longest running Japanese pop culture convention.
Entering its fifth year for 2013 (taking place November 1-3), GMX is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing and most beloved events of its kind. Based in storied Nashville, TN, one of the largest entertainment markets in the country, GMX is poised to develop into a top tier multi-genre event.
Tabletop gaming has proven very popular at GMX as one of our 20+ areas of content. As GMX has grown, so has our tabletop gaming programming, leading GMX to appear in a promotional capacity at the Origins gaming expo (one of the largest in the country) and to attract standout industry game designers.
GMX Features a 48 hour board gaming library and an extensive schedule of RPG games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds and many more! Continuous demonstrations of today's hottest games. Scheduled and unscheduled gaming - join or start a game anytime! Prize drawings all weekend!
GMX also hosts a Miniatures Gaming room with historical and fantasy genres represented by The Foundry and Nashville Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, among others.
