Owlcon is an annual gaming convention dedicated to gaming that features board and card games, miniatures (historical, fantasy, and sci-fi), role-playing games (tabletop and live action), and related events (e.g., painting competition, movies). It is hosted by Fast Warp, a student run organization at Rice University, and is now the largest gaming convention in the Houston area.
Be sure to view the campus map. Registration for Owlcon is located in Rice University's RMC/Ley Student Center. The Central Campus Garage is next to the RMC. Games will take place in Baker College.
13th Street, the sandwich shop in the RMC, is willing to run a cart of boxed lunches out to Baker on Saturday to sell to RPGA gamers. Price and content to follow. |

Venue/Lodging
There is no one official hotel for the con. There are several hotels in the surrounding area, but as of this date none of them are offering special rates for the con. We are trying to arrange some, but OwlCon recommends that attendees book their own rooms at whatever hotel meets their needs. If we are able to get special rates at a nearby hotel, we will make an announcement to the OwlCon Announcement list. |
